IT Outsourcing Sales Director

We seek a IT Outsourcing Sales Director for our client in their Dallas, TX offices.  Our client is a global outsourcing and IT services provider and this is a full-time permanent position.
 
This individual will secure new business as well as build and enhance long-term relationships with our existing clients, contributing to the success of our Sales group and playing a major role in our exciting journey to become a Best-in-class Organization.
 
Major Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with and secure contracts from new customers to achieve sales quotas of $2M in the assigned region and accounts
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales and subsequent account mining efforts
  • Prospect for potential customers using both direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
  • Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of possible solutions with associated costs/benefits
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to be able to engage in meaningful conversations with prospects
  • Create and deliver engaging presentations to our clients’ senior managers and decision makers
  • Draft and deliver sales proposals
  • Work with technical staff and product specialists if necessary to address customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for the company to deliver values, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales
  • Regularly report on sales activities per reporting norms
  • Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions
  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods
  • Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third parties and partners that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
  • Work with marketing team to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
  • Provide feedback to sales management on how to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing team to develop and improve sales tools
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest level of professionalism and integrity
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 year of sales experience with at least 5 years in Global IT Outsourcing/Offshoring
  • Must have a strong rolodex of CXO level contacts in the assigned region
  • Must have prior experience managing new business development
  • Must have broad understanding of technologies / sales skills
  • Overall experience should include business development, contract negotiation, making effective presentations, creating collaterals, presentations and POC’s for specific problem statements of customers
  • Must have strong customer interfacing experience
  • Must have excellent cross culture communication skills and ability to be a cultural interpreter helping U.S. customers and Offshore be on the same page and work smoothly
  • Must have a stable career background
  • Must have a proven track record of success with active participation in President’s Club and/or over-achiever awards
Desired Experience/Skills:
 
Candidates with MBA are preferred
