Our client is a leading financial institution in JAX. They are extremely well respected in the community and known as a great place to work. They are in the midst of a substantial and pre-planned growth period and are adding an HRIS Manager - Workday to staff in their Human Resources Division. This position will report to the VP of Compensation & Benefits and is a permanent full time position. 

The incumbent is responsible for the implementation, configuration and maintenance of the Workday system. This position will lead the HRIS team to create and manage system processes, HR data exchanges, & project management for new system implementations or new HR functionality. The role also will perform Workday configuration changes and will lead a user group to assist in the prioritization of requested changes. As the internal Workday expert for HR, the HRIS Manager will obtain requirements from the Subject Matter Experts and will perform the research necessary to provide the HR teams with alternatives. The HRIS Manager will then document the HR Subject Matter Expert’ requirements and obtain approval of the requirements prior to starting configuration changes. Based upon the complexity, subject matter knowledge and required time frame for completion, may need to request a change order from Workday to accomplish the work within the required time frame. If an HR change order is needed, will obtain the requirements from the SME to include in the change order request. Upon completion of system changes in a test environment, will request that the SME test the changes prior to moving the changes to production. There will be two direct reports. You will also act as the HR Administrator for the SAFE Act.  You will be the project leader for implementations and in supporting system upgrades, changes and modifications. Provides timely communications to the organizations's users and provides direction and required time lines with respect to required user testing based upon each upgrade. Incumbent will perform analysis in advance of all upgrades and work with each Subject Matter Expert to determine the impact on existing processes and will facilitate the decisions needed.

Must have the following to be considered:

  • 5+ years’ experience with Workday HCM required Data, Core, HR, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting
  • 3+ years in a leadership position that required interaction with all levels of management.
  • Broad knowledge of the various HR areas of practice.
  • Thorough understanding of Workday HR features and good change management practices.
  • Thorough understanding of SAAS models.
  • Knowledge of benefits, employment, compensation, performance, career development and succession planning functionality.
Bachelors Degree is required.
